Flamer kit on 172

Does any body have one or does any body know if they work on the n/a 172 engine - as they normally only work on turbo cars

I am sick and tired of prats sitting on my bumper whilst i am in traffic just coz they wont let people in.

Would love to get one and have a sticker put in the back window saying if you can read this - your about to loose your bumper.

Also are they legal.

Er... you serious? They are about as legal as having a fire-eater blow flames out of the windows as you are going along.... i.e. there is probably nothing in the lawbook - but if you melt anyones bumper or burn their legs to a crisp outside Sainsburys you will be in some kind of trouble!

Doubt they would work on a 172 engine anyway as there is very little residual petrol left in the exhaust to ignite in n/a engines

well there is a way u can get it to work on a 172, there are kits which u clip a butane bottle in to, u flick a switch and it fills the zorst with butane and u flick a switch and it ignites, u will get a 4 or 5 foot flame, if u have a turbo then it will work well, heh i can reve mine up to like 3500rpm let of the throttle and do this a couple of times then as the engine revs are going down i flick a lighter by my exhaust and WOOOOF big flame

Depends on the car...

My mate used to have a modded 306 GTi-6 with a flamer kit on and it really worked well, but they are soooo Max Power and I slated him for having it!

They way I look at it is, its only cool if the car does it through heavy tuning, none of this bolt on crap.

you have a 172, slip it out of gear, and go to put it into reverse (lifter up and slide accross) but do not engage rerverse, this wil turn on the reverse lights and give them a great fright
