flashing imboliser light

hi all
iv got a 97 mk1 clio 1.4rt
when i start the car it startsfine but the imboliser light on the dashboard keeps flashing. the light goes off at about 1500rpm. its doin my tree in

any suggestions??

Strange, if its not causing a problem i'd leave it well alone tbh. How fast does it flash? Rapid flashing usually means that the immobilser isn't recoqnising the chip in the key.

its about every second. i tried the spare key and it still flashes. considering just pulling the bulb out

i had the same problem with mine, eventually wouldnt start. i reckon it is the chip in the key aswell. You might want to get it checked out, take it to renualt however its expensive and they had to fix it 3 times!!
