Flat Battery

I left the headunit on in my car, with the volume at zero (not on purpose lol). It seems to have drained the battery.

Now I'm thinking take the battery out and charge it, but the cars got an immobolizer and alarm and I'm worried that if i disconnect the battery for 24hrs it wont want to start again or the alarm wont stop going off or something that only happens when you buy french.

Is there any problems in removing the battery for a car with alarm/immobolizer?

I've got the normal key to start it with the plain plastic one, and the one key fob for arming and disarming/locking and unlocking it.

why not just give it a bump start and drive about for an hour?

Because it's only got three wheels waiting for a new hub.
Just thinking about getting everything sorted.

My dad took mine out for about 6hours when i was at work and charged it up, unfortunatly it still didnt come to life so i had to go and buy a new one and my immboliser was fine

why dont you charge it while its on the car?

thats what i do with bike, my bike has been on charge 3 months now in the garage.

Come to think of it would the system drain the battery?
Alright the system was left on for three hours but the volume was on zero, does that make a diffrence?

It's got a 1000w sub and amp hooked up to it too.

yes it would drain it...think even if you have the engine running at a stand still and have the system on the battery will still drain, a bit slower but eventualy it will

kk makes sence I suppose I was just thinking in an ideal world if I didn't have the speakers on there would hardly be any power consumed but my system is still taking power and the fact that the headunit will be drawing power as well.
No probs will just bump start it once it decides it's had enough of acting like a Reliant but I think finding a 52mm hub will be a mission.

i assume the amp was switched on as it comes on automatically as the head unit turns on??

Yeah i would put it down to that then....when you have the music on and driving its fine 'cos your at around 2000-3000rpm and the battery is charging up but when stationery and its runnin @900rpm then it aint charging!! What wrong with your wheel anywayz?

Bloody took it to a garage to get the bearing pressed in and old one old and he snapped the caliper mount, stupid grease monkey couldn't be bothered lubing it or using impact to help ease it out or anything just stuck it in the press - hope he don't treat his women like that lol.

Oh well new year, new probs.

Not when your in the middle of a dodgy backstreet garage getting told by a tall fat polish bloke with a breakers bar in his hand that he's ruined your hub and your night out.
