Flat Panel Filters

Just after some simple advice if poss. Want a flat panel replacement filter for my 172 and wondered which one? and why??

So far i have seen quite a few with ITG panel filters and hear there quite good.

k&n in the 182 but that was only because it cost me £15 otherwise it would have been a itg..

I did on my otherwise std 172, slightly better throttle response and pickup imo, even my wife who didnt drive the car much also commented on this, Look at the std item next to the ITG it's a different class of product, dont expect any gains, just seems to breathe better imo

Get an itg panle filter from Merlin Motorsport, thats where I got mine from.

Their shop is at Castle Combe Circuit, so it's only up the road mate.

Got a K&N, only cost me a fiver otherwise would have prob gone itg. Seems to be just a name following though. Cant see any difference apart from the fact that green and k&n are cotton gauze and itg and pipercross are foam.
