FLI bass controller

Probably the most simple thing to fit..but it doesn't seem to be working!

I plugged it in, turned the ignition half way on, so you get the head unit come on, but it doesn't seem to work. I don't see how starting the car will have any extra affect.

Also, what bass settings should the amp have? (turned down to minimum?) or does the bass controller override the amp settings?

Can some give me a dummy guide to see if I am going wrong somewhere?

ok to set it with the bass controller too you need to turn all gains down on the amp first then turn bass controller to max then set the amp on the sub correctly
