Hi all,

Noticed a few days ago that there are a number of dead little flies in my headlights :dead:, like the ones that appear on the front of your car.
What I'd like to know is;
How the funk did they get in there?
And how can I get them out?

Fanks for any help!

Take them out and whack them in the oven :D Then break the seal once the glue has softened, get rid of flies, seal back up and your done :)

Remove headlights, remove bulbs etc. Use an air blower on an airline ( of course ) and blow em out.

Has anyone actually had any success with the oven trick?? Sounds like a f**k up waiting to happen. My headlights are full of water marks, quite annoying.

the oven was on after dinner and then i turned it off and put the lights in so it was cooling from about 150, i just took them out every 40/50 seconds to make sure they were ok, once the glue was tacky i popped them off, just dont over do it!

but i dont really think the oven trick will be needed just to remove the flies, just use a hoover!!

Schoolboy ;)

Haha when I got my car it was exactly the same, previous owners decided they liked flies & condensation :dapprove:

I did find the caps at the bottom of the engine bay tho so that was a bit of luck haha.

i've got this prob too, only in one headlight, unsurprisingly the one with the cover missing, and one ever had any luck with getting replacement covers, either scrappy or dealers,

btw anyone know of a gd scrap yead or breakers type place for parts around Hampshire or Bath/Bristol, would know where to go if i was still in Cornwall!
