Coil pack gone. 56 quid down! Wounded. Is it a problem with many clios?

just out of interest, how would one know if the coil had "gone"?

doesnt the car start?

Some don't but mine did. just goes very very sluggish and none responsive. N I had huge misfire. New one makes a huge difference now even before it failed the car is more responsive now.

Hugely common as far as I know,

Where did you get one from? As I need one myself! Hopefully will drive alittle bit better then.

Common way to tell is the chugging on start up.

pretty commom on 1.4 and 1.6 if i remember rightly,even more common to on the leon-had all 4 go in the last year,atleast mine are cheaper than that though!

I got it from car user on trade mate I'm a training mechanic. Halfords sell um too not cheap though

Replaced the coil pack twice on my 1.4 16v back in the day.
