Fog lights stopped working?

Hi.. My fog lights on my phase 1 172 stopped working a few days ago. i replaced the bulbs and still didnt work. I then got a friend to look at it for me and he said the lights werent getting an earth connection? I've checked the connections on the back of the bulb and they seem fine? Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you tried checking the the wire to the light stalk? I have this problem with my mk2... Checked everything and all fine... removed the top cover off ehh behind the steering wheel (sorry don't know what its called :S) and one of the wires were snapped. Turned the fog switch to on and connected the wire up and front fogs came on Worth a check :]

It will be the wiring connector behind the passenger fog that gets the main power feed
