fog lights

hi i have a mark 2 phase 2 clio 53 plate. I recently purchased fog lights for it but when i asked my friend who is a mechanic to fit them he told me that the bumper does not take fog lights as they didnt sit neatly in place and just slid about. I am a little confused as i bought them second hand from a spares place so there definetly the correct ones for the car but do they need a surround/facing to put in? im pretty sure the bumper can take foglights as the cable is there to hook them up. pic of the bumper? you may need the surround if you only have the blanks

Can't get my camera to upload a photo but its the exact same As this http://is03.thegumtree.com/image/big/142526679.jpg I have had a look for surrounds but it only seems to be ones for clio cup, has anyone else fitted fogs? Am I just not doing it correctly haha?

you shouldnt need surrounds mate, should just screw in

idk if u need clips, but mine needed clips (i have a ph1)

just seems like when i put them into the hole its just too big for the foglights so they will just fall out, any idea what screws i should use to attach them?
