Foot rest: screw loose? pic

bought my 172 last week, didnt really notice but when driving the car other day noticed my foot doesnt actually feel supported well on the foot rest next to pedals,

looked tonight and saw the allen key headed long screw sticking out half an inch!! the foot rest is loose too?!

any reason why i have found this just wondered

you've found it because you looked, to rectify this problem, get a torq screwdriver, t25 iirc and screw it back in

mines a bit loose as well

as its a renault i have bigger worries than the foot rest.....

haha cheers guys, sorry - paid alot for the car at dealer, worried incase I got it if any probs...next min exhaust was falling off tut tut! thats sorted now anyway

but put me on edge a bit!

so yea didnt wanna touch incase there was a known problem for some reason! but it was very tight even tho half inch unscrewed...took it out and suspected cross thread...great

bit of wd40 in the threaded panel behing the rest and voila, went it a treat! phew!

sleep easy now haha thanks
