Take out your battery, and check the nut that holds the pin in the gearbox for the gearbox mount to mount to.
I have been trying to track down my knock for a long time and when changing my engine mounts today I found the pin was loose. this was allowing around 5mm of play.
Worth checking before you replace all top mounts and engine mounts for no reason like I have.
