They do fetch strong money though, especially the evolution.. but not that strong. Think some guys have mentioned the dealer are known to overprice ...

Yeah, I've seen series 2 Escort RS Turbo's from there for between 8 and 10 grand! I know they're rising in value but that takes the pish. Mind, I saw a black one ( S2 RST) on a private ebay listing a few months back. Very low mileage I'll grant you (about 20,000). It was for sale at £22,000! I don't think it sold though :rasp:

Seen a lot of cars going up for sale that seem to be highly overpriced.

Being a S2 RST owner i know what mine is valued at by the RS Owners club and what its insured for and Fords are going up & up and can reach strong money but once again something is only worth what someone will pay for it.

Yup was £104,999 about a year ago iirc! Think I saw it creep up to £124,999 at some point but wow, this is a massive jump.

Exactly. In my series 2, I've been offered anything from about half what I think it's worth to pretty much double what I think it's worth and mainly from people who see me stopped at traffic lights! It makes me laugh sometimes!

This dealer sold an escort rs turbo to a guy for around £8k and the car was s**t, rusty underneath, had rusted through on the wishbones and had a fresh mot on it, they were taken to court and the mot tester was made to re-look at the car and was shown why the car was very far away from being road worthy. would you really want to buy a car from there?
