The reason that I like them sooo much is because of the amount of character that they have, not everyone who likes them is from Essex lol ! A lot of dudes on their 40's & 50's are madly into them.

For me it came about from the touring car series back in the late 80's when I was a kid seeing the Texaco sponsored RS500 etc & all the of the names driving them. Ok the road going versions aren't as quick or mad as the actual touring car ones, but they are still nice.

One very good thing about them is that if you get hold of one that folk know of & it's a decent one, it's pretty much money in the bank as they do not seem to depreciate at all

There seems to be a lot of 'nice looking' ones on there at the min, to get that many RS500's for sale at once is pretty rare.

The Auralis Blue Escort Cos I meantioned is stupidly rare too (I think it was a limited edition colour on some of the last cars)

To me & most other RS nutters a sapphire cos is still a cos, but it's over looked by the three doors (Sierras) and Escorts.

The sapphire has always been cheaper to buy second hand, they do hold their money too, but they aren't as 'sought after' as the ones I mentioned. They are still ok though (as long as they've not been ruined)
