Forged pistons

Now, I know about wossner, but what other brands are avaliable for an F4R? and what sort of price am I looking at for each? i'm wanting raised compression, maybe 12.5:1? i know for nissan theres loads! iaple, HKS, eagle, etc etc.

but the only one i've heard of for renault are wossner, which don't have an overly good reputation on the sr20's!

cheers

we have been fitting the Wossner stuff to cars for a while now, never had a problem with them, we currently have several high power duratec engines with superchargers using them with no problems at all, also a lot of rs turbo's running these pistons, again no problems.

Same here really, ive tried a few of the usuals, and Wossner have always made good power, they measure up well, and are c**k on between items.
As far as off-the-shelf goes you cant beat them.

As for gains, well the theoretical increase in power is 2% for every "1" increase in Cr. so taking it to 12.5:1 would in theory yield a 5% gain. This rings true from my experience in testing them on the dyno....

We used wossner on the F4R, they were the 12.5:1 IIRC pistons, worked very well, but it did like its oil though!!

Funny, never had any issues with oil consumption.

The devil is in the detail as they say ;)

IAPEL makes pistons for the F4R, they are "standard compression" and a little bit bigger, you can check on their website. But I don´t know if you can get them in the UK thow.
