Yup, my sentiments exactly, it put a smile on my face, and that's what counts.
Seeing that P51 coming down the valley at the end as you race to the finish line was amazing, properly good fun. As is free roam, with a full map, I can see some fun being had!

yeah I liked it too....I think that the safe handling of the Evo might spoil the free roam a little on the demo...but still blasting in it is still pretty hair raising especially in the dark. Defo liking it tho
Just had a play for half an hour, I'm not sure... It doesn't look or feel like Forza, but it's got potential to be a fun game purely because it's open world. Hmmm, might wait until some people have the full game and have put in a few hours before buying it tbh.

It doesn't feel 100% like Forza but that's probably a good thing as Forza 4 can be quite unforgiving, it doesn't however play anything like need for speed, you can still feel suspension compression and properly when a cars understeering.

But then I'm not too surprised that's the car you got, it covers a few bases and it's nothing too exciting. The viper was more of a laugh, but I got a lot of understeer from that too.
Does anyone know, with online mode, will you be able to "jump" to your friends? So if I sign on at a different time, and want to drive around with some mates, can I just spawn next to them at all?!?

With all aids off? I found a few times I would come tonking into a bend that was tighter than I thought and I would understeer then lift off into oversteer/into the barrier untill I got into the swing of things. They have obviously gone for 3 totally different cars handling wise but it would have been better if they had let you switch while in free roam

There is a lot of understeer, back off and you get over steer then just pin it and you can hold it literally forever.
Doing 150 in the Viper swerving around a car, it was like I was doing 10mph round a round about, there wasn't enough drama to it.
Same as the Mustang race, I only saw the plane once at the start, it just seems really really geared to the casual gamer who will just mash the controller around.

What wss your time for the mustang vs mustang challenge? You must have got a good one if you didnt see the plane again
This. I had it all set to max difficulty, and even when I nailed the rivals I was only half a second quicker than the plane at the end!

I think it was on the dam race..at one point I was blasting down the road right behind another car downhill over bumps/turns and although it wasn't as twitchy as on FM4 it was still fairly exciting and 'on the edge' imo. I imagine it will be more so when you are driving a 600bhp silvia or similar
The handling physics are great tbh, no FM4 but it does feel great on the limit of grip.
I find that its not just a matter of chucking it in full throttle with opposite lock and actually making the bend you have to play with the steering and work the throttle to keep it in check.

Same, I had a few attempts at it and every time, as I was coming down the valley, I could see the plane coming towards me!
Granted I was drifting a few of the corners though.
If I fully went for it, I still think I would at least see the plane.

Just played the demo.
For me it's 50% Forza, 50% NFS.
Not sure about yet, might end up getting it anyway.

I preordered it a while ago & am loving the demo!
I'm not quite as hardcore as some on here so don't mind the slightly dumbed down physics. Spent more time looking at & painting the cars in forza4

Think this game is a good laugh tbh. Isn't much point comparing to forza 4 as its a completely different style of game. Il be getting it

Well after playing the demo, I have come to the conclusion tha this game is everything I expected it to be plus a little bit more.
From the trailer, I thought it looked a lot like NFS and TDU, and sure enougth, this game seem slike a mixture of the 2 with the added bonus of the Forza car dynamics (although they do seem to be reduced int he game to increase the general game play). For me, I also felt a bit of Sega Rally / CmC when off road.
I like the Rivals idea, however I couldnt get even close to Manmoths times! I did beat his speed through one of the speed traps though! If someone wants to add me to see just how slow my times are, my gamer tag is 'thefatty2007'.
The overall gameplay is quite good. I originally started playing thinking 'uh oh, this dosnt look good', but to end up with I found myself having fun (which is the main idea in a game after all). There are a few annoying things, like how the plane makes the controller shake like a magic wand (and not the harry potter type iynwim).
Overall though, I give it 6.5/10 based on the demo, so not to bad.
