Your HDD space has nowt to do with your swap file size. Bah...tbh I'm struggling to find the motivation...I need my own bed...

It's asking for more swap space because you haven't got enough physical memory free (RAM)

You need to assign more swap space.

Someone else will have to tell you how, I don't run Windows and can't remember the exaxt steps to do it.

Do you use XP?

Sorry mate, but it does - Windows uses free hard drive space to create the Swap File, therefore if you've not got sufficient space on your hard drive Windows can't create one.

But in light of Mofo saying he's got 118GB of free space, this clearly isn't causing the problem.

MOFO: One other issue I'd suggest is that in the other thread you mentioned you had 448MB of RAM, which is a classic sign of a very basic graphics chip that's using some of your system memory for itself. I'd suggest a graphics card upgrade if you're looking to use your PC for gaming.

That's true boys but Windows manages the Swap File size by default, so unless MOFO has set the size of the Page File himself Windows will still be managing it.

I don't think he knows how to check it though so someone needs to give him some step by steps.

If his game is telling him he needs more swap and he really has got as much disk space free as he says then it has to be a problem with his swap file. Unless it's a crap message in which case he needs to be looking at forums for that game.

problem is sorted now fella, just had to make the space bigger lol, still dont know how to take pictures of mmy desktop though? if i press the prtscr button nothing happens? lol

Pressing print screen only puts it onto the clipboard...you then have to paste it into another application.

You'll need to post it into an application like MS Paint first mate. Then save it as a JPEG file then upload it to photobucket.
