Fresh paint

Hi all

Did a quick search but couldn't see anything that stood out.

Ive just picked up the car from having fresh paint on the rear quaters, doors and wings, is there a length of time that I should leave it before running a DA polisher over the panels?

I think I remember seeing somewhere that the paint doesn't harden properly for a while? The last thing I want to do is leave nice marks all over them.

Thanks in advance

Polishing nooooo problems, if its been cured from the shop properly, you can polish within a matter of hours of cool down if using an ovening process. The best process IMO is a short ovening session, a couple of day rest time, then denibbing and detailing, the paint shrinks back you see, nibs that werent showing before can show days on, if you rush things. Why would you need to be polishing so soon? surely its mint and shiney.

However waxing id leave it a month or 2 myself, paint takes months and months to fully harden, wax can delay the curing process as it seals the paint........

It looks great I was just going to be cleaning and whipping round the car with a glaze so I could get some for sale pictures but I wasnt sure if I had to avoid thr fresh areas or not.

Thanks for the helpful reply!
