From today - Football, Planes, Zoo.

Had a really busy weekend this week. Spent the day shopping yesterday, then today we got up early and went to see my girlfriends brother play football, then off to Twycross Zoo. On the way home we stopped at an areo graveyard which was amazing. The graveyard was situated right next to the runway at East Midlands airport so got some of the planes coming in too. We didn't plan on going to the zoo or the plane yard, so only had my 50-150+TC and my 50mm on me, could have done with something wider for the train yard. Also found that football photography is much harder than it looks!

The "massive" plane is a Avro Vulcan nuclear bomber, they are the dogs....I've sat in the pilot's seat of one of these bad boys.

I hope that isn't a Spitfire they've dumped in there too :dapprove:

Yeah lol it's awesome. It says on a little notice board that it was a head tuner when it flies by.

Camera is a Nikon D90, football was taken with Sig 50-150 with a 1.4 TC, zoo with again the 50-150 and planes were taken with a 50mm 1.8, apart from the ones coming into land, they was with the sigma too.

It's the bomb, it really is. 1st time using its a little daunting, but now when I go back on my D40 it feels small and toyish.

It's pretty amazing, definitely get one if your thinking about it.

Awesome shots Ben, too many great ones to mention, but the Meerkat one above is just brilliant, very amusing.

Football shots are some of the better 'amateur' efforts I've seen to be honest, love the one with the throw in, super sharp and great bokeh. Never tried it myself but assumed it wasn't easy.

Thanks Chris. Been talking with the chaps over at Talkphotography about the football ones, and they said there okay, but need much tighter cropping to frame the subject. Too many distractions in mine. But they were my first, so can only get better.
