Front and Back Bumpers - Spraying

  BMW 323i Coupe
After having my side strips colour coded, I feel the need to complete the look by having the front and back done too.

However, I don't want to have to take them off the car, so my question is, has anyone any experience of this, what did you do, and what do you need?

From my knowledge, if I was to do it now, I'd use masking tape to protect the paintwork, sand down the bumpers, primer it etc, and then re-mask it again before spraying, but is this right? Ta.

I took my rear bumper off in like 6 minutes...

its about 6 bolts.

Front is not much more. Your pure lazy if you dont take them off.. lol

you will get a much better finish if you take them off, you be able to smooth the text right up to the edge of the trim without damaging the paint on the bumper and you will be able to make sure you dont miss bits in the painting stage. sometimes with masking tape when you peal it off it doesnt always leave a clean line

Seperate strips I think. I can get a better job done by taking them off, but wouldn't that mean I'd have to use the car without a front/back bumper whilst I'm doing them?

I've just had a look on E-Bay and I've found a company selling the front bumper in the 3 pieces, the middle, and then the left and right, and to buy all three of those would cost about £21 before postage. So I may buy then, do the colour coding, then swap them over and sell mine.
