I know some of you might have read my last topic.
I changed my ex's sisters front pads today, anyway.
My god one of the easiest things ive ever done on a car!
So she got quoted £140 to changed just the front pads. Undo bolt lift caliper, push piston in, lift out pads, put new ones in, lower caliper and put the bolt back in.
I really would like to know where £140 comes from, how could it possibly be so much for such a simple task.
Anyway when i saw the pads i said they didnt need changing, but i did them anyway.
According to the garage that did her stamped service the problem was "Front brake pads worn low" also they mentioned a lip on the disc.
Anyway all 4 pads were pretty similar and by a quick guess this was probably the worst of the lot.
Do you really think this classes as "low"
Considering the pads i put in were only a few mm's thicker i think they saw her coming.
Is a trip to the garage equiped with the paperwork and set of 4 pads in order do you think?
