Front brakes

my front offside right brake pad was worn down to the metal so i replaced broke brake pads on the right had side and the brakes on the nearside were fine does anyone know what could be the cause of this

you should ALWAYS replace brake pads in axle pairs, ie do BOTH sides at the same time

knackered caliper or slider is the cause

ok kool cheers the other pads on the other nite where always brand new tho not been touched, do you think i need new discs or a new caliper

sounds like a new caliper to me 172's do the same thing

get the brakes tested at an MOT station for peace of mind

ok i got offered some 16v calipers would i need to get 16v discs tho 2 put them onto my mk1 1.2 clio
