Front compents

  LY 182
Right, would like to change my front components on my 1.2 16v 04
what i to have everything mounted as it was standard, i've been told that 13cm speakers fit straight in and i want the tweeters in the original dash locations, i can hid the Xover under the dash somewhere im sure
what i want is could somebody make a suggestion (pref from car audio direct) on a set that you can confirm the tweeters will fit with not too much messing about and pref not alot over £100?
wont be running them through an amp or anything like that just want to upgrade a little bit
cheers

if im gonna spend my money and mess about changing the speakers i'm not going to leave standard tweaters in there it defeats the object to me
like the look of those type r ones need a sub and amp too my hand me down setup has seen better days haha

take a look at the alpine type r sub as well, pretty punchy.

If you have lots of money for the sub you could always get a type-x.

X-type although a lot of money, definatly one of the best if not the best around atm

Try type comps if not Vibe have some nice ones going atm

i thought it was "fli! stuff that was halfords own stuff.

I thought had a relatively good reputation?

Without a doubt though if you have the money go for Alpine Type X stuff!

i went for infinity kappa components. no regrets what so ever.

Woofer fitted hassle free as did the tweeters, mounted my tweeters in the existing tweeter cover, looks neat and fits nicely

Not to hijack, but would good aftermaret components like the type r ever be bassy enough to replace a sub?
