front dash only showing the time

My display on the dash only shows me the time, there's no temperature reading or anything else. should there be? looks very lonely in the right hand side of the display.
got a aftermarket head unit in the car and have since I've owned it?? dno if that effects it

Either the right bulb has gone... is it dim/black on the right?

Or most likely your car doesnt have an external temp sensor...

After market head unit wont display anything there anyway unless you but an adaptor lead.

its dim now but only just recently turned dim and i think ive got a external temperature sensor, is it the small thing under the passenger wing mirror?
just wondering because ive only got the time on the far right corner and nothing else. just would assume something would be on the other side ha

There wont be anything on the other side as you have an aftermarket head unit, there should be a temperature below the time but thats it! All i have on mine too ha

I think your'll need the steering wheel control leads to get it working again as it connects up to the clock also.

With an aftermarket hu then it should show the time with the temp underneath (without the stalk lead connected)

Did the temp used to show or has it recently gone?

if you have an authentique you wont get the temp,if its any model higher then the sensor is damaged at some point

its a dynamique so it should of came with it right? and nah has always been gone but i bought the car with a head unit already installed plus it had awful m3 mirrors which were replaced asap. that have anything to do with it? had electric mirrors on it for a while now with the temp sensor on the passenger side but i assume i have to connect it somewhere?

Yes it will make a difference,the sensor is in the wing mirror

have replaced the m3's for some time thou and these have the sensor on them i guess just not connected, do you know if its easy?

Wouldn't know myself, I don't specialise in Clio wing mirror removal. Can't imagine it being difficult. Do a search
