front discs and pads

been looking for new discs and pads as my discs are quite warped
i was definatly considering the brembo hc discs, but would the ebc green stuff pads be any good as i cant afford to stretch to the price of ferodo pads?

no. In short. They have pretty crappy reviews, I think you'd be better off with standard renault pads.

If you can't stretch to ds2500, the dsperformance ones are pretty good for the money? Perfectly adequate for road driving unless you're a hooligan.

cheers jack might have to consider them, and si i have thought about mintex but on a toyota i had they seemed to create a lot of brake dust, do u find same?

I've got some part worn ones, took them off last week to swap for the ds2500. You can have them for the cost of postage. There's still loads of pad material on them.

sorry im a bit of a nit pick with stuff like this im a fair beliver in new discs - new pads. im sure someone will have them off you though. also thanks for the offer

Me too, I just meant so you can try them for a few days or whatever. I'm not interested in selling them, I was just going to bin them.

There's not a huge amount of difference in their braking performance in normal road driving, but they don't fade like the DSP ones. Saying that, it did take a fair bit to overheat them. I only upgraded because I'll be doing track days next year and they came up cheap.

well brembo hc discs ordered, just got decide on pads now.
i can get mintex cheap but just want a bit of extra stopping power?

has anybody got any suggestions, i never do track days just get a bit over enthusiastic on the road?

Mintex M1144's will do you for fast road use.

lol, no neva do track days, m1144's ordered today £60 + the dreaded vodka and tonc!!!!
fitting tomoro if discs arrive and also got two new bottom ball joints to go on as n/s/f is fubar!!!
will proberly post on at weekend to reveiw brakes
