front fog lights not staying on !!

Hello , i was wandering if anyone has had the same problem. Every time i put my fog lights switch on the light comes up on the dash but the front lights actually doesn't turn on but the back ones do. the only way i can turn them on is gently pushing the stick on the steering wheel forward, dont know the name, but have to hold it otherwise it turns back off.
help anyone ?

I'd try swapping the stalk, if you really have to use the front fog lights

aha what a statment to make, and its what i shout at people at 3am at work when they blind the hell out of you on dark roads

Everyone has beat me to it, but don't.

A. You look like ridiculous doing it
B. People will randomly stick their full beams on at you
C. It can land you a £30 fine if you don't need them on
D. You look ridiculous.
