hi could anybody tell me why my headlights on me 172 arnt coming on automatualy when i turn me car on at night time???:S

On the left stalk you can twist the end to have the lights on manual, or auto mode.

Two clicks up to get them on manual, then two clicks back down for auto mode.
One clicks side lights.
