Front seat problem!

  172 Race Car
Hey guys, need your help. Had a rear passanger today so have been tipping the drivers seat a few times. Let him out for the last time when i got home and the seat would not lock into place, just kept sliding forward and backwards. On investigating i found this piece of metal/plastic had broken off.

Im guessing the runners are now w**ked!
Questions are, do they come separately from the seats?
Are they the same as lesser clio's? (ie:easy scrappy find)

This has really pee'd me off coz it means the car is now undriveable AGAIN! and i have to spend money on it so soon after buying it AGAIN!
Starting to loose a bit of love with this car, with all the faults.

Only consolation is it happened at home on the drive way and not as we were leaving silverstone for the 65mile trek home. That would not of been funny.

Thanks in advance for your advice peeps

I take it by the lack of response your all too busy in GC discussing hair products/Girl problems/Big Brother/the state of the forums (delete as applicable)

Or maybe no one knows!

I had this exact same problem today!

What i did was pull the seat forward, push the plastic thing in and push it in as far as it will go. Then put the seat all the way back and it should click back in to its proper place.

Worked for me anyway.

AFAIK the runners are the same, it's just the actual seat that is different. Just make sure you get height adjustable as I'm thinking yours has with it being a 172?

whats in your picture, is that what came off?

Thats exactly what i had come off.

got it to lock now but everytime you tilt the seat it wont lock in again. Took off the right side cover and pushed the lock down. works great, that will do for now.

Cheers guys;)
