Front window trims - 172

Hi guys,

Car is going in for a respray in a few weeks and I’ve started stripping the track car down.

What I need for when replacing is the window trim pieces for both driver and passenger side.

I also need the rubber gasket seals. Are these available anywhere?

Yep. Those are the ones. I’ll check tomorrow and confirm.

It may be you have a spare door knocking around that you no longer need.

You'll do well to find any that aren't bubbly from rust.

They rust on the inside near the wing mirrors.

@NickReilly063 got some off a low mileage mk2 that were mint. He's a lucky boy

Lucky to save nearly £400 quid finding these - you can still buy them new though but I’m too tight to pay that much - I look every week to see if we have brought any Mk2 3drs in swap as you never know what bits you can find -

To be fair, I took mine off today (the rubber seals - not the inner plastic bit I need) and they aren’t to bad bar a slight tear near the rear corner which I think I can make work.

Doesn’t look like much fun getting them back in though and having to run them down where the glass goes into the door card 🤨

The local one here is a quid to get in but you’ve gotta be fast as people strip them for parts so quick to sell on eBay etc.

Sharpy has sorted me out good and proper and asked for nothing for the trims.

He has asked for a donation to a charity instead which I think is amazing so first person to comment a serious charity of their preference, I will donate to.

Are these trims RS specific? Or just any Mk2 Clio?
