A little tip to put your instrument panel into self test mode and reset trip computer on clio 2 phase 2, its a bit tricky but what you have to do is have the ignition switched off, hold the ADAC button (The button at the end of the wiper stalk), press the button that comes out of the instrument panel, so you now have both buttons pressed together and switch the ignition on.

The instrument panel goes into self test all the dials move and the trip computer display lights up totally, press the ADAC button at this stage the trip computer will display the fuel in your tank in litres, press it again and the computer will display any fault codes.

To return back to normal operation turn off ignition then turn back on.

The panel and computer will now be reset, this will provide a much more reliable reading after a short run of about 3 miles which allows the system to carry out the calculations needed.:D

The fuel computer in my car is accurate to within about 2% after 18k(Ikeep a log of how much fuel has gone on an how much the computer says is burnt.

Mine as diesel though if it makes any difference. Also if you have done any mods they may affect the results.
