Fuel light fun

Did 250 odd miles in a 182 today, 47 of those miles were with the fuel light on, still have to drive it to work tomorrow that will be 50 miles on the light if it makes it!!

Not my car, works one, i wasnt planning on putting any dollar in of my on to fuel it, was bricking it, left it on cruise at 50mph

dangerous game, did it in an old diesel once and lost, then had to prime the fuel system etc as still couldnt get the bloody thing to start!

mine pops on before the red... I have driven 30, 47, 55, and now 71 miles with the light on. I have made a game out of it, and will one day will find out how far I can go on a red light

For some reason my light comes on at 8.2 gallons used and normally I do fill up when I've nearly used all 10! So managed about 70-80 miles before!!

Mine cut out after about 35 miles, was waiting in the petrol station and had to push it 10 yards to the pump.

I find mine comes on with about a gallon to go.

I conveniently stopped just round a sharp corner on a 60mph road.......was interesting!

It was sold a year ago by us, obd lights comes on randomly, its had a new engine, looms injectors list goes on, we couldnt fix it, renault couldnt fix it. so 2morrow the bloke gets his money back lol. funnily enough today since our rte has modified the injection loom the light hasnt come on lol. Drove really nice tbh 42.7mpg. Its an 06 plate done 27k. Its off to auction soon

Used to do this in my old pug 106. I used to carry a fuel can for the walk to the petrol station but I'd usually bottle it and stick in ten quid after the light had been for miles and miles. Due to the dodgy french guage you never knew how much you had in - one minute it was a quarter, the next below the red, then back up again.
