Fuel line fittings, push type? anyone done away with it?

my fuel rail has the push type fuel line fittings, but my fuel lines are rubber with jubilee clips, what can i do to connect them up ?

cut the connector out of the hard pipe with a razor blade and insert it into the rubber pipe with a jubilee
