Fuel pump replacement - need help

Hello Guys,

Recently I got upgraded fuel pump for 172 Clio.

And I would like to know if anyone has replaced the pump by himself, do anybody have guide and/or pictures of how to do it?

Agreed, not worth it unless you have over 260bhp

the original pump is probably dead or very close to it, so I bought the upgraded one. The price was pretty close

i'v seen 1 broken fuel pump in 9years! its rare they go wrong

there is a problem with "morning" starts (happening every time car standing more than 2-3 hours). The car is starting only from second try. When the cars started there isn't any problem.

steps done till now:
TDC sensor replaced
ignition leads replaced.

from my understanding the problem can be from fuel pump side or maybe I missed something.

In any case I already bought the pump and would like to replace the original, question how!?


BTW. Here in Israel I hear about broken pumps time to time (we have around 50 cars at total here). The major problem is the "wings" of the pump. Maybe it's related to petrol quality.

Surely if it was the pump, it would cause an issue when running not just first time starting?
