fuel rail guard has sheered off!!!

opened the bonnet tonight to see the fuel rail guard down at the bottom of the engine. its sheered the nuts off.

does this mean anything?...other than im fucked if i crash!

Iv seen the end result of many a front ended Clio and never seen a fuel rail parted from the engine other than cracked

i got hit by a taxi a few weeks ago, forgot all about it!

My money would be on it being removed for an oil change, then wound back on too tight. Then with all the vibration/heat from the engine, it sheared the studs

sounds a pretty sound diagnosis to me. You woulda known if the taxi had done it

it was 2am.

the car doesnt get hot since it happened. but it never bothered me cos its better than it overheating.

Make sure coolant isnt leaking or lower than the temp sensor, otherwise you will be and just wont know it.
