fuel tank cleaner

my car has been splutering i took it to a garage were the feller only works on renaults he checked it scanned it and had a butchers at it he sed ther is no problem he sugested i change my fuel filter but first run a can of fuel cleaner threw the car wid the old filter on then change the filter put another can through and it more then likly sort my problem but 1 of the lads in work sed that fuel cleaner is harmfull for sum engines so just checkin is it for a 1.2 8v clio thanks ....

run a tank or 2 of Shell Optimax thought it, as it well clean the fuel tank and engine

well i was thinkin of startin to use that instead but still dunno wether to put sum of the cleaner stuff in

i used some on my old metro and it fucked the engine up!!!! all the s**t when thought into the engine and blocked it all up!!!!

cost me so much money to get it all sorted!!!!!

not too sure with the clio's tho

I've run loads of petrol cleaners in my car and its fine, Forte stuff is the best imo

I use Forte too. Good stuff.

I put a bottle of 'Specialist Injector Cleaner' and a bottle of 'Advanced Gas Treatment' both in together with a full tank of fuel, and it seemed make a slight noticeable difference to engine running.
