Fuel Tank

alll the tanks on the mk1 clos are supposd to be 43 litres right, except the 16v and the williams at 50.

but mine only takes about £28 and then overfills. i tohught it could either be:
-tank has been changed for a smaller one |(was told of this but not too sure)
-the floater in the tank was out completely, and when im on empty, iv still got 1/4 of a tank left.......
it does seem to go for a while on empty, and imv never seen the light come on..........

anyone enlighten me on this, its an RT

Tbh mate it sounds jus like my RT. I've only had the light come on a couple of times - you seem to have to drive about on the empty line for a bit before it comes on. I used to think the light didn't work on mine but when I pushed my luck a bit I saw it come on.

It only take about £25 - £30 to fill mine up as well but I hadn't really thought about it before TBH.

dont forget, its still got fuel in the tank when you fill up.

Yeah on Djw Daves we thought it didnt have an orange light but teh dial seems to be on empty for ages and ages and tehn it comes on, think the dial is just crap!
