Full beam not working on valver

As title, when I have my normal lights on full beam doesnt work, the stalk still pulls back as normal but the full beam doesn't come on.

However, when I have the lights on the low powered setting (don't know the term, but just one click round on the lights stalk) the full beam works fine when you pull the stalk back.

Anyone had this or know what might be at fault? Cheers

Common fault.
You need a replacement stalk.
