Full Exhaust System

hi, im sorry but i am new to all this modifying. i have a 1.2 renault clio 2000 reg.

i have already partyly modified it, but i am interested in getting a full stainless steel exhaust, basically to make it really loud.

can anyone advice me and how to go about this or things to do when i go to get an exhaust? thanks alot

you have 2 options.

you can eather take it to a custom exhaust place and have a custom exhaust built and fitted to your car, usually costs around £250-£300 for a catback with the tailpipe of your choice and how loud or quiet you want it.

Or you can buy a cat back exhaust system for your car from a performance place such as motorsport world and fit it to your car yourself or have a garage fit it for you.

Cat back is system from the cat to the backbox, it's up to you whether you have a standard cat\sports cat\de-cat as well as this

Yes mate, the cat back will replace most of your system with what should be good quality stuff, go for the stainless steel

Well i've left my cat standard for now, the other two options would be :

Sports cat - Expensive, but your car would(should) pass it's MOT
De cat - Decent price, you'd need to find a friendly garage to pass it's MOT or swap it back to standard cat for the test

Just the cat back will not fail your MOT though, only tinkering with the cat would affect that

I think Martin gave you a fair idea, £250-£350 maybe depending where you take it.

I just got the Ktec stealth cat back for £350 and am very happy with it so far

You may as well get it all together, all these places like powerflow etc have plenty of tailpipes to choose from if you are worried about choice

i had a powerflow cat back on my 1.2 clio. sounded bloody awsome for a 1.2. £320 fitted.
