Full lock wheel creak..!

Just wanted your views on an issue i appear to be having. When i turn the wheel to full lock i get an almighty creaking noise when the wheel revolves, it sounds like a wheel thats too big for its arch's rubbing against the wheel arch.

Everything is standard.

Your thoughts please guys.

Mine used to creak the same when I was on full lock. Changed my top mounts to solid ones and creaking stopped.

i've got the same issue on the cup gonna try fitting the m18 washers to the strut tops when i get time

Ah so not a spring issue...! Phew. Cheap fix then?

ive got the same. is it a "special" renault washer that sits on the struts that they sell?

haha, well you know what renault are like. yeah its a standard m18 washer from b&q but because you bought it from us it will cost you a grand!! (exaggerating a smidge there!)

That tiny washer makes that deep creak, thats amazing. Is it easy to fit as suggested on the thread above? Has anyone gone for the B&Q variant?

just been to B and Q and purchased 10x 38mm O/D 6mm I/D washers (£1.98), drilled the centres out with a 20mm hole saw fitted and hurray now more creaking on full lock.

I can't believe it was that simple, I was thinking CV joint or something
