How much would a full respray be on a 182 ???????????

FULL? As in engine bay/door shuts etc? Or do you mean a blow over of original colour?

I paid £600 for a quick blow over of the whole car except the roof.

For a complete colour change though, expect £2-2.5k.

I paid £400 for a full respray on a Nova I had, as my Dad's friend did it, was quoted upto £1k and anywhere inbetween...

Only way to know is to get quotes.

Same colour as the car. Not the door shuts, not the engine bay, window rubbers just masked up and not removed etc etc.

I'll find a pic. Was a mate that did it but it was a s**t hot job!!

Resprayed mine, including door shuts and boot shuts, and arch rust repair for £430 in a metallic colour. You'll be better off getting a quote yourself.

do as much prep as you can, dont pay some boy a lot of money to do work you Can do yourself.

if you strip it your self and prep it all most body shops will do you a good deal but w.e you do dnt bother changing the colour waste of your time mayswell just get a 182 in the colour you want. You have such a fuss with the bay and seals and for about 2-3k spent you gain 0-500 on your car value depending on the buyer.

If your paint just looks dull try getting it compound polished and detailed might not even need a respray.

My current car had a full respray, engine out job etc.
Really really good job.
Car was originally white has been resprayed Porsche Blue.
Guy that owned the car previously was a paint sprayer by trade so it just cost him the paint and his time.
I can well imagine it costing about £2k if you want a decent job though.

In the garage i work in, you'd be told a minimum of £2k before even going into details. Hence why we don't get many full resprays in, as there are other places in the area who will do it for £300, but the finish looks as if its been done with rattle tins.

I did and he wont budge on the figure he gave you,so i advised him to lower it as he will get loads of work in,he said he will have a think..Im working on it and hopefully get him down to at least £500
