Full Suspension Systems

  Clio 2.0 16v 172 Sport
Hi, New to the site and have only had my clio 172 (51 plate) for about a month now. I am looking into replacing the whole suspension system with adjustable coilovers.

Would really appreciate any advice on which kits are best and where to buy from. I understand that CS members are entitled to discounts from certain vendors??

Any help greatly appreciated :)

Many Thanks

Are you after show or go? If the former, get some cheap KTR coilovers. If the latter, then KWs or ASTs.

EDIT: Just seen your from Cheltenham! Howdy :)

Budget? Your looking at £800 as a starting point for decent (h&r/kw/bilstein/ast). I don't like the ast kit, but it's a very personal thing, so I'd advise trying to drive as many of the kits as possible (or at least a passenger ride) before buying.

Im looking for something that will perform well, not really looking for show only. Any idea on cost for full kits?

If you want decent stuff, I'd budget up to £1500 for supply/fitting/setup. Will probably be less.

If you can get up to Birmingham on Friday I'll take you out in my 172 (on kw v2's with a whiteline arb).

IMO standard is spot on unless u pay loads.

I can drive way way faster on standard suspension than i could on my vmaxx.

Konis and Eibach springs are a good setup if you don't want to go for the full price of fully adjustable coilovers. They also wont have to be setup.
