Funny noise when music is on.

Car  TT 225
Basically if i have the music turned past 10 which isnt very much seeing as i have one of them roadtrip things for my ipod from apple i get a crackling/electrical noise either in the roof/door above the left of the passenger seat. I had water coming through my sunroof not so long ago so would this have damaged anything ie. speeker cable etc?

any information would be appreciated as its rather peeing me off :)

i cannot imagine its anything to do with the sunroof leaking, no stereo wires go through there, and it wouldnt be volume bias.

perhaps your just over doing the poor ol' speakers :(

are you using an i trip, the ones that broadcast on the radio??

ive never used on personally, but i can imagine they'd pick up some kind of interferance

i get interference through my radio, think its the routing of the antena lead,

but with my ipod plugged directly into headunit no interference so quess what i do :D

good shout will have alook at that...what can i do, where is the earthing for the radio? lol

The noise is probably from the alternator, you might need a noise filter.. It's designed to eliminate background noise on audio products. It goes in-line on your 12v power supply to whatever audio equipment you have. That would probably cure whatever 'funny' noise you get.
