Future Clio 197?

Does anyone know if there are any plans for further 197 models? Maybe a Trophy or somat?

Dont wanna buy one and then get cheesed off when Renault bring out another model two weeks later.

Renault are forever bringing out new models, they always have. It doesn't matter when you buy, there will always be a newer model in the pipeline.

I can't see someone from Renault UK telling a prospective buyer "don't buy now wait 'til a newer and uprated version comes out." They want to sell cars. The only semi-official line on a 197 update in the pipeline is a Cup pack being made available as an option on the 197. Which will probably come out when almost all of the F1 R27s have been sold. So probably November 07.

It's not supercharged it's turbocharged. Yeh you can order it RRP is £11500 for a Dynamique spec.

the R27 or whatever it is has the first cup chassis on a road going 197, so the cup is coming, then probably the trophy too.

It's a bit academic to me really what further versions come out, they will be hugely expensive for the performance they have , and less nippy and user friendly than my current steed.

A 197 is easier to park than a 182. At least you don't have to try and avoid full lock for fear of the suspension creaking like it's made out of old parts of ships.

For real. Although I hated the way it went super light with effort and then back to normal. It felt horrific at parking speeds. Granted though, easy to park
