I went to get the X12 from Tescos for £35 and there sold out again! Was sold out a few days ago, then they got stock but I hummed and arred over them or the X4 and now there's no stock again!

Are the X31 basically wireless X11 with no surround like the X41?

I tested my Turtle Beach X41 headset out before it was wrapped up for Crimbo and the level of atmosphere and sound detail on Skyrim was incredible! The water, the pull and twang of the bow and arrow, the background music, it was all superb. Really looking forward to playing this over Christmas with the headphones on. Then I have Battlefield 3 to use them with.

Are they light enough? Do you notice you have them on after a while?

I'd get a set but I've tried a few headsets before and they've annoyed me after a while.

Also, the cushions are neoprene or similar, right? I hate the faux leather they use on the Astros... they make me sweat like a mong.

LOL! Well, I only had them on for a couple of minutes mate so unsure on that. They have replaced the material for the X41's to a mesh-like lining which has been praised. As for the weight, only time will tell. Was really impressed with the sound quality though, and with them being wireless I was very happy. Obviously still need to wire up my controller to the headphone jack to enjoy Party chat mode but even so.

I've got a 5.1 system that's set up via optical but I've not even set it up at our new place because we've got wooden floors and I can't hide the messy f*cking wires.

Might sell that and buy some X41's then.

Am tempted to invest in the x41's but like most dont want to pay more than 100... But dont recon theres much point in buying a fancy headset unless its surround??

Get the X12 which are £35 from tesco direct and the DSS which is £40 from eBay. £85 for a surround sound headset

Could really do with a wireless one as dog always runs past and trips over any cables!

No fraid the X12 aren't wireless.

The X31 are but to buy these new are around £70-80, plus the DSS would equal £110-120 so you might as well try and get the X41 for under £100. Tesco Direct are doing the X41 at £90 but has been out of stock since beginning of December (maybe longer) and still are!

Some X31's on eBay from the official Turtle Beach distributor at £35.

Grade B - So have been fixed to manufactory standards but may come with a few slight marks. Could go for under £40 and with the DSS at £40 could be a saving?

Wonder how high to bid to as its at 77 now and a new one at tescos is but out of stock 90 :$

Only used it with Skyrim so far but it's excellent. Very atmospheric and the surround sound is great.

I've had my X41s for a few months now.

As above, sound detail, sense of atmosphere and ability to place distance and direction is epic.

Fabric earpieces are comfortable, and weight wise, so long as you get them adjusted just so, I can easily forget that I'm wearing them.

Anyone else have people moan your mic is really loud when in a Xbox live party?
Get this a lot from my friends. Brother and and another mate also have TB's and they seem loud to me too.
I turn the volume down but then I can't here people with normal headsets lol
