I would like people to rate this gaming setup I am going to build. please feel free to make suggestions and possible changes.
Also, would like to know if they are all compatible with each other.

Would quad core be better?
It will be mainly for gaming/game design and general univeristy work.

About the 4gb memory. Know any quality 2x2gb.

Just buy an overclocked 8800GT much cheaper and almost identical performance....

Nothing currently on the market can properly play Crysis in high res with AA&AF turned up. So No, I doubt it, but it'll do very well for sure

i just ordered my bits for my new PC.

FYI buy a GTS they're the same price as a GT and you can clock them even higher. I'd go for Q6600 (quad core) cheap and awesome. 2gig ram for XP 4 for vista i'd say on and btw, that power supply looks pants. get a decent one.

For basically £30 you can get a good 10fps hike over the GT as higher resolutions, and as David said it will OC a lot better.

I agree with that. Also dont buy it from ebuyer. Go to www.scan.co.uk or www.overclockers.co.uk will get the same hardware but cheaper. The CPU alone is £10 cheaper at scan.

Q6600 is a great CPU, 4gb of ram is under £70 for half decent stuff so gets my vote. However the PSU on that link I would say is more than adequate for the rig 36amps on the 12v rails and 460w will easily power that system.

the vast majority of direct x10 3d benchmarks ive seen have shown the GT outperforms the GTS (even when comparing overclocked versions). The GT has a newly designed core and an increase in stream processors. Nvidia has to limit it to 256bit or it would have been the fastest card in the range - including the GTX.

Oh an the new GTS's are approx £40 more than the GT!

I saw a review the other day 8800GTX versus 2 x HD3870's in crossfire. Believe it or not in most of the new games the single GTX is actually only a couple FPS behind beoth the 3870's. On their own no match for the GTX. Ultra is faster than them all.
