Gap in top mounts

Fitted K-Tec coilovers the other day all seemed to be ok but when i finished i noticed that the front top mounts were sitting high, and theres a gap between the top bolt/mount and body work?

Is it ment to be like that?

Any help would be good cheers!

Yupp, that is normal when lowered. A picture might be helpful.
