gasket for the throttle body?

hey guys.

is there meant to be a gasket between the throttle body and the intake mani?

just took mine off to clean it and, it is dirty, but it also seems to have been sealed using white silicon!!??!

here some pics:

looks like there is a gasket of some sort, stuck with the silicon on the intake side, but not really sure whats going on?

yes supposed to be a gasket

someone has cow boy'd it and used silicone

clean off buy new gasket

Yeah Definatly meant to be a gasket there, although that looks like its been bodged.
Get a PTFE one

yep still havent cleaned it yet, just taken it off. Cleaning with break cleaner should be ok right?

Can you get a PTFE one for the trottle body...? If so were...?

I have alrady got the PTFE gasket for both sides of the lower manifold...

never seen a ptfe one for the throttle. Going to have to get one from renault

actually just ended up having to buy gasket paper and cut one myself
