gear box sticking.

When i first get in the car each day the gears a really hard to change ,they seem to stick before having to be "shuvved" into place.
its getting pretty annoying.
any ideas what it could be?
and how to fix it?

First of all i would change the oil - use 75/80's semi synthetic......this usually cures the problem. Its a common fault on the JB1 / JB3 / JC5 boxes. If the problem persists your box will be faulty
