gear knob insert question

im removing and refitting the gear knob inserts on my 182, just wondering do they go 'tacky' in any way its just i dont want it to be loose, wonky etc.

any one had any problems?

am i just being a tart? lol

how do you go about removing them? with a pic i guess :/

Replaced my gear knob insert last week! two minute job. flathead screwdriver lever the old one out, pop the replacement in, job done!
