Gear knob insert

Hi, just repainted my gear knob insert, and stuck a new decal on it, but when laquering it on, some got under the decal, and i feel like if i use it, it'll just come off.

So i was just wondering, is there like a thin vinyl wrapping i can use to ensure it doesn't come off, and if so, where can i find it? 'Cause i looked, and i can't.

Just use about 50 layers of laquer lol

lol, i planned on doing that, but so far i've done about 5-6, and i can't get the bloody tips of the "H" decal to go down even slightly, being a right pain in the arse.

use a tiny bit of superglue under the vinyl, then wrap it tight in some cling film for a bit.
