Gear Knob

Hi guys got a new gear knob for my clio mk3. Its a lift reverse and i cant get the old one off! Any ideas of how to get it off with out cutting it?

You just cut it off at the top & put the new knob & gater over it,or you can totally cut it off its entirely upto you,either way you will be able to put the new knob on.

Get a big pair of mole grips and twist it hard left and right until it pulls off.

i couldnt get mine off using this technique no matter how much i swore at it. ended up cutting it off with junior hacksaw

mole grips dont grip as the rubber slips i used a good old hacksaw 2 mins of a job

mine came off very very easily... just used a tea towel and a bit of muscle.. .
